Counter-Strike 1.6 (CS 1.6) is a legendary series of multiplayer first-person shooters that celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2015. Such a significant age for a computer game does not in the least affect the popularity of this project, which has united more than one generation in front of the screens. Perhaps the most popular representative of the series is Counter Strike 1.6, including in the field of e-sports.
The essence of the project is that two teams of gamers oppose each other, performing certain tasks. The first team is terrorists. Their tasks include taking hostages, mining objects, killing a very important person (VIP) and destroying opponents. The second team consists of fighters from counter-terrorism units. Their tasks are opposite: rescuing hostages, defusing a bomb, escorting and preserving the life of a VIP and… this is where the goals coincide.
The team goals listed above are the game modes. For convenience, the names of the cards have special prefixes that allow you to understand what you have to do. So, “cs” is about hostages, “de” is about bombs, “as” is about VIP. Oh yes, as for the destruction of opponents, this mutual task is present in every mode. Note that the “cs” and “de” cards have gained the greatest popularity among gamers.
To make the gameplay even more exciting, the developers have provided the ability to upgrade weapons. Well, what would we do without it! At the end of the match, both teams receive a monetary reward, but the winners get significantly more. This virtual money is exactly what you need to buy new guns.
It remains to add that for each side the creators have provided 4 types of fighters from different organizations: Phoenix Faction (Eastern Europe), Elite Crew (Middle East), Arctic Avengers (Sweden) and Guerilla Warfare (South America) for terrorists; Seal Team 6 (USA), GSG-9 (Germany), SAS (UK) and GIGN (France) for defenders.
